The Earth Ears Ensemble is joined by violinist and Professor of Artistic Research Mieko Kanno for a program of imaginative new music
The Earth Ears Ensemble was founded in 2021 with the goal of enlivening contemporary music performance with focus on experimentation and presenting lesser-heard ideas and voices in new concert settings. This concert features works for flute, clarinet, violin, cello, and piano in a variety of solo and chamber music combinations. Works are inspired by poetic and ancient texts, as well as the natural surroundings of North America. The concert is 60 minutes and will be performed without intermission.
